Kate Temple creates luminous atmospheric artworks for contemporary spaces, inspired by natural phenomena.
The works are created using transparent layers of ink on rice paper mounted onto rice-paper-covered canvas. The pieces are in the format of two foot by two foot squares which exist individually or together in groups to form grids or long panels.
The scale of the work highlights her interest in creating strong works of modest proportions that address the human scale as a measure of sustainability.
